This is a hotel located on a hill about 10 to 15 minutes by taxi from Atami Station. Walking there seems quite challenging, but the taxi fare is 1500 yen, so it was a good deal to take an Uber from Atami Station within that range! It is noted on the reservation site that there is no elevator in the building. The stairs have a low rise, and personally, I found them easier to walk than I expected. The room was spacious, and the view of the city lights from the third floor was beautiful. The futon was just the right weight, making it comfortable to sleep, and I slept soundly. The hot spring is open until midnight and from 6 am in the morning, which allows for a relaxed enjoyment even with a late check-in. The water temperature was warm and relaxing, which felt very pleasant! The shower pressure and the hairdryer power were just right, and there were plenty of amenities such as moisturizers for both women and men. I was also pleased with the cute pattern of the yukata. At 156 cm tall, I chose size S, which was just above the ankles, and I could wear a pattern that I liked. On the first floor, there is a water server where you can freely drink water, tea, and coffee. In addition to vending machines, light snacks and sweets are available for purchase, and there were also some delicious-looking ice creams next to the front desk, although they were a bit pricey. I stayed with smokers, but the smoking area was quiet, and the lights at night created a beautiful and calming atmosphere. I checked in at 10 pm, so I couldn’t use the private open-air bath this time, but I would like to try it next time! It was also very helpful that I was taken by car to Atami Station in the morning. I was late, but I was grateful to be guided to the next ride. In the hallway, there were insect repellent items placed regularly, and since I’m not good with insects, this kind of attention to detail was reassuring. I was satisfied with both the room and the hot spring, and if I stay again, I would like to try a Japanese room or a Japanese-Western room!
