"The owners of this b&b are so friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a little far from things. I got in late and many restaurants were closed. After learning I hadn’t had dinner the owner drove me 10 minutes to a place she knew was open and even offered to stay until I finished eating. Beyond nice! Breakfast was very good and filling—a waffle, boiled egg, fruit, and black tea with soy milk. I wanted to go to the beach that day and they offered to drive me, which of course saved me both time and money! Thanks again to the owners for being so accommodating! "

"Only negative was further from beach than I was hoping. The setting, view and surroundings were so incredibly beautiful that it was not a big deal. Very helpful and wonderful staff. This is a great place for quiet and relaxation from the city. I highly recommend arranging pick up. Bus dropped us off too early, very few in town speak English and taxis had a difficult time finding the hotel. "

"I didn’t know what to expect when coming to this Homestay. The photos seemed ambiguous on agoda and the trip to sanzhi (closest bus stop) was quite dire as the winter rains were in full effect. With that said, the five minute taxi ride from sanzhi to Emoonten was divine. The road to the Homestay cut through rice patties and climbed up and around hilly passes. The accomodation itself was sutuated in a small valley flanked by beautiful rice patties. We were greeted by the friendly couple who own the accomodation. Although they didn’t speak much English, they used a vey handy translate app on their phone. They put in a lot of effort to keep us happy and well fed. They even drove us to the closest town to their favourite dumpling shop. The breakfast ingredients are mostly sourced from their small organic farm onsite. Try their jackfruit jam - it’s rad. I would recommend this place to anyone who gets sick of the city. It’s a peaceful reprise to the pace of Taipei."

"This place is basically a 2-bedroom condo or apartment that can accommodate comfortably up to 6 people. It is in a hilltop apartment complex, and the condo faces the sea, so it has an excellent ocean view. The complex has an excellent and large swimming pool, but it's a strenuous walk up to the apex of the hilltop. Fortunately for me, I had my motorbike, so the ride up to the pool was fine. One should have a car or a motorbike to thoroughly enjoy staying at this condo. But, if one doesn't have a car or motorbike and enjoys doing strenuous walks to the nearest beach (Qianshuiwan or Repulse Bay Beach), the swimming pool, and nearby restaurants, then it should be fine not to have one's own transport. By car or motorbike, the best beaches in the area are only 10 to 15 minutes' away, and those beaches are Baishawan Beach and the adjoining Linshanwan Beach. The Agoda price for this very comfortable seaside condo/apartment is just right because it is very reasonable and affordable. "
