Great place to stay! It was in a really convenient location, only 2 minutes from the bus station. The guesthouse was clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again the next time I come to Hiroshima.

The BEST guesthouse in Hiroshima”
Super lovely and friendly stuff made my stay feel at home! The bed is clean, comfortable and spacious. Good amount of AC is on that made eveything feel very comfortable inside the building. The shower room is in one floor that keeps things very tidy I find. Oh and I loved the kitchen! It is kept very clean and I enjoyed cooking there. They have all you need to cook! I moved to Osaka to abother hostel but I really am missing this Santiago guesthouse very much!

Close to most things. Best showers at a hostel I’ve experienced. If you’re traveling with a JR pass you can catch the free sight seeing bus then walk about 10 mins to the hostel.

It's located central city of Hiroshima so easy to go around sightseeing spot. Like peace memorial park, Hiroshima castle, Shukukeien which is Japanese garden and so on. And, the public transport here in Hiroshima city is very good and easy to access from this guest house. The staff are very friendly so easy to interact with them.

I always have a good time at Santiago with random people from all over the world. Also, I could get a bank bed for only 1500 yen! It was priceless memory though. I will be back someday for sure.

It's in the center of Hiroshima city so it was pretty convenient to everything.. Easy to access to sightseeing spots. Like Miyajima shrine, Hiroshima Peace memorial park, Hiroshima castle and Japanese garden which is called Shukkeien- garden. I recommend to stay here.

I only stayed for 3 days and it was very quite due to corona. So the stuff gave me a bed in female dormitory instead of mix. I liked that. Otherwise I liked the location and it was always pretty clean.

Decent guesthouse option”
My sister and I stayed for one night in a private room; it was a decent, relatively budget option. Room was spacious (possibly a triple?) and bedding seemed clean. There was a social common room as well. The front desk person provided a nice restaurant recommendation, which we appreciated. Things to be aware of: towels are an extra charge (200Y/each), cash payment is preferred, slippers are not provided except in the toilets, which is a bit inconvenient as you have to put on shoes to change floors (i.e. go to the shower and common room).

Clean place and helpful staff”
If you are considering a place to stay whilst in Hiroshima and do not have sleep disorder, I highly recommend this place for convenience and value of money. * Location: you can walk to the hostel from Hiroshima station (abt 30 mins) or take tram. The famous tourist attractions can be reached within 15 minute walking from the hostel. You can also wander around shopping streets and Okonomiyaki village nearby. * Staff: they can speak English fluently and are very helpful giving advice on what, where or how to spend time visiting and eating in Hiroshima. * Facilities: bed is small but comfortable and clean. Toilets and shower rooms are also clean (beyond my expectation 😂). And the thing I love most is the common room on 6th floor. You can haunch

I really enjoyed my stay here! The staff are all lovely and very helpful, the place has great common areas (including a rooftop space) and it's super close to the river and Okonomimura. I appreciated the free coffee, just wish there was tea too... ;)

Very good hostel”
Whenever I return to Hiroshima I would stay at Santiago again. Everything you need is there for a backpacker. Nice kitchen, lounge area and lockers. I liked it and would recommend it. Near Peace Park, restos and grocery store. Central to downtown. to others.
