Kansas State hotels & accommodations
Was my first time in this particular hotel. The rooms are great, and staff is very attentive. Only opportunity area is how quickly the breakfast items finish in the morning., Needs to be aligned to number of guests in hotel.
It's really good for our family in Wichita. Very nice view. We can walk every where.
Room was clean, with a nice and comfy bed. Hot breakfast, friendly and attentive table service. Overall hotel is very nice, although a bit dated. This hotel is obviously well maintained and the front desk staff was wonderful. You really can’t get much better for the price in Topeka. Highly recommend.
Recently we have stayed in the Country Inns and Suites when we go to the Legends, but there was a sale here at Best Western. I think that in the future we will stay here instead. The breakfast is better, and the pool has a slide and a hot tub. Score!
Air conditioner was poor and not able to keep up. Facility was noises bed was uncomfortable you could see it was wore out it dipped in the middle there was a large orange stain on the floor by the bathroom cheap coffee breakfast was sub par
Nice staff, and everything else is astonishingly bad... I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotel, and this had the worst facilities, hands down.
Service while we were at the hotel was great and the facilities were very clean and exactly what we expected. Our issues came after we checked out. Both when I checked in and checked out I was told I was prepaid. I gave my debit card for incidentals only. When I checked out, I was not offered a receipt because I was prepaid. 2 days after I checked out, there was a cha...
The entrance to the hotel was a challenge to find.
This was a great hotel. The value for the money was incredible. The included breakfast was one of the best I have encountered. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
Nice clean room, friendly staff, and good breakfast. We were in town for baseball tournament.
I got a very good price for this hotel on Agoda. For that price, I was expecting to experience one of the "lower star" reviews. But my room was clean, updated, comfortable, quiet and the facilities were top notch. Very nice hotel.
The best thing about this hotel was the made to order omelette served for breakfast. Even better because of Martin (sorry if I misspelled that) who made and served the omelettes with such a cheerful attitude. Thank you Martin!
one of the nicest motels enjoyed it very much
The hotel was very outdated. The tile in the lobby and elevator looked old, cracked, and dirty. The room was clean and had working appliances. Breakfast was okay. Many options were available. The pool is not heated and no hot tub was available. The beds were comfortable. There were stains on the curtains.
Enjoyed the hotel. Chose to eat out for breakfast, breakfast included looked like feeding time at the zoo along with plastic forks and starifoam plates and bowls...a bit cheap for my liking.
Clean rooms, nice staff, good bar, good food. No complaints
receptionist had a hard time processing my 3rd party reservation. room had a strong negative odor. was told by receptionist that breakfast closed 930-1000. Breakfast person began shutting down before 9. would only recommend to a friend if expectations were not high.
ok
The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms looked like rooms from a 3 or 4 star hotel. Awesome place to stay!
Enjoyed stay, really comfortable, amazing breakfast and would stay again if ever in town.
For several years we enjoyed staying at various Country Inn and Suites. We hadn't stayed in one in a few years but on a recent trip in late June, 2019 we were arriving late into Salina, Kansas and booked a room at the Country Inn and Suites. We were given a room that seemed to have a faint smell of cigarette smoke or something similar. We checked with the front desk...
Bedding was dirty, selected no smoking but the entire building smelled like it had been smoked in for years, the pool was ok the water was green and had a lot of hair in it hot tub wasn't usable
We chose this hotel because of a morning international flight out, and because we had rented a car from a car rental in this airport. It made for a relaxing stay overnight, car return in the morning and flight out. The hotel has an indoor pool and exercise room which we didn't use but looks nice. Room very comfortable. Would stay here again.
A few of the other guests where horrible people. The people above us let their children run around their room jumping off the beds and dropping crap on the floor. I'm a heavy sleeper and they woke me multiple times throughout the night. Even with a sound machine running for the granddaughter and the air conditioner fan running they woke me up at 12:00 AM, 1:30 AM ...
the hotel was fairly clean considering it was under renovation. the hallways were pretty torn up but not too dusty. the rooms themselves were very nice and clean, EXCEPT the sheets smelled of bleach. I can appreciate the fact that they are keeping everything cleaned and sanitized, but it was so bad that I had to sleep in the chair. I was having trouble breathing it wa...
Efficient staff, clean rooms, great price, convenient location right off I-70 and on Iowa Street.... Here is where you want to stay.
Very clean and comfortable hotel right off of I70. Enjoyed my stay and got some much needed quality sleep in a comfortable bed.
The room was nice and clean, but they were repainting some rooms and ours must have been one. Air freshener would have been a plus.
Very friendly, helpful. Lost my phone on the way there and was helpful in using phones and able to check in early. Thank you so much!
This hotel needs an elevator. If you have a room upstairs, you have to carry your luggage up a narrow passageway. The staff is extremely friendly. The breakfast is nice. The location is excellent. The pool was not functional for some reason. We will absolutely stay here again
Cheap places to stay in Kansas State
Townsman Inn in Larned , KS is an exceptional value for your money. My room was extremely clean. The room had recently had new carpet installed, the mattress appeared to be fairly new and the room was recently painted, The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The continental breakfast was good. And best of all the Inn was owned and operated by real Americans...
I am on oxygen 24-7 and when I made reservations thru hotels.com I had said I needed a room on ground floor with easy access. When we got there the room was on 2nd floor (no elevator)in middle of bldg about as far from parking as possible. Clerk could care less and said it couldn’t be changed because it was booked thru hotels.com. If we changed it we had to pay full...
Found it on list of pEt friendly hotels. We have a large, furry, gentle, easy-going therapy dog.
The room was dirty. There were still empty beer bottles on the window inside our room.
We received a king sized bed for the price of a Queen. Bed was very firm. The room was clean and quiet. No pool. Breakfast was small muffins, toast, bagels, orange juice and milk.
We arrived a little later than expected and had trouble finding the location. The motel is behind a huge row of trees and not visible from the road--we finally spotted the Rodeway sign. That is the only problem with facilities. Staff was mingled, two or three people there but only one working on reception. Ground floor room was handicapped accessible, breakfast was ...
This was the backside of my trip. The staff improved but my room location was far from ideal. My room and elevator shared a wall and it was distractingly, annoyingly bad. I finally turned on the room fan to run all night for white noise and it blocked out most of the humming and dinging. If I hadn't already unpacked I might have asked for a change of room, I had...
Could have a more hearty breakfast
Front desk agent was kind, funny and knowledgeable.
Hey, for the price and the value, it's a good place to stay.
The facility was less than expected. Continental breakfast was inadequate. The biggest disappointment, however, was the inability to contact the facility with a question reference late check-in. After 4 attempts I gave up. Calls Avoca went straight to HOLD music, twice!
Ver overpriced for such an older facility...needs to add grab bars in the shower....bad odor in the hallways.
Very friendly, helpful. Lost my phone on the way there and was helpful in using phones and able to check in early. Thank you so much!
receptionist had a hard time processing my 3rd party reservation. room had a strong negative odor. was told by receptionist that breakfast closed 930-1000. Breakfast person began shutting down before 9. would only recommend to a friend if expectations were not high.
As mentioned the location is great. The staf @ reception are very friendly. Rooms are very clean indeed.
The hotel looked to be newly renovated, booked a room, checked in, got a ground floor room. Turned on the A/C and the first thing it did NOT blow cold air, the room started filling up with dirty air and "SMOG" and was very difficult to breath. I gave it a little time to clear up but it didn't... I couldn't take it anymore so I went to the front desk and told the clerk...
Removing a few stains from the carpet and bedspreads would have made one feel it was cleaner.
It was an adventure. The room was very outdated & was not properly cleaned. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
This hotel needs some updating. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pool seemed overly chlorinated. My daughter and some other kids all had very red eyes after getting in and persisted until the next morning. Breakfast was very minimal. It was ok, but it was cheap.
Was in the area for a NYE celebration and this was the only location within 8 miles of where I would be. Staff was exceptionally nice and as friendly as you would want, especially during the morning breakfast. Nothing much else around here so it's a place that can serve a purpose if needed, as well as being priced right for doing so. Definitely would stay here again if...
Only thing was each part of the facility had a strong and different smell. Had to buy some fabreeze.
We didn't stay here long, only one night. I will say that of all the Motel 6's I've stayed at, this one was pretty clean and looked nice. I stayed in one recently and it was terrible, this one was was much much cleaner. I wouldn't mind staying here again.
The hotel was surprisingly nice for the price. The room were spacious with a walk in closet. The bath area was also large and nicely arranged with useful storage under the vanity. The hotel is located in a very good, upscale area.
Clean and quiet place friendly staff. Only issue we had is our door handle was broken and could only be pulled up on. But the staff let us know it was, there was one issue where the door sounded like it latched shut but it didn’t so you could just push it open without the key. But over all it was a good stay.
wonderful!
We enjoyed our stay; the building is older but well maintained.
Very satisfied with our accommodations!
Bedding was dirty, selected no smoking but the entire building smelled like it had been smoked in for years, the pool was ok the water was green and had a lot of hair in it hot tub wasn't usable
Will not stay at that motel ever again!
The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff was pleasant. However, the room was very small, and the pool/spa seems to be permanently closed. This also appears to be a Microtel that has switched ownership to Motel 6. The room was standard Microtel design, but it is now a Motel 6. If you plan to spend very little time at the motel, this is a great price ...
