I’m a returning guest & each stay I was not let down.! The staff were friendly, helpful & rooms affordable. Booking was simple & quick. The rooms were well stocked, clean & quiet.Their Breakfast bar provided a variety meal to meet anyone’s diet & food preference. For the price the Alex is the place that provides you the best service ,experience & accommodations above...
You are the best
Stayed here for like 5 days and I can’t think of a single negative anything. The front desk staff are absolutely amazing and so helpful. It’s so refreshing to go check in or have any questions and the desk operator is so friendly and professional. It has been by far the best experience i have had. Simply amazing
Great hotel, renovated in the last two years. Very comfortable large rooms, very clean with good quality towels and linens. Situated in a beautiful, isolated setting amidst trees! But only two minutes drive from civilisation!! Very friendly, efficient staff. Great indoor swimming pool. Wonderful value for money
i live locally and my kid wanted to swim for his 3rd birthday.the hotel didnt have a room to rent for a birthday party.they gladly allowed us full use of the breakfast room.this is one of the very best hotels in anchorage which i have used before.
This is more a top class Motel than a Hotel. 10 minute walk into town. (Hard uphill walk but easy returning). Staff very helpful. Shuttle service available to airport or rail station. If shuttle is free, driver only too happy to drive you to whereever you want. Facilities include gym, sauna and indoor pool which is open until late.
The shuttle/clerk was a butt. They dont pick up from the train station so another driver helped me out. This guy was standing outside (sorry didnt get his name) and proceeded to pount to his shuttle and rudely proclaimed., "this is OUR shuttle". When I told him I came from the train station and this other gentleman helped me out, he replied, sarcastically, "well, wasn...
Beautiful grounds. Polite staff and good breakfast. We have already come back!
I was there for just one night, and was moving into an apartment across the street in the morning. We had an earthquake. and a psunami warning followed, warning people to get to higher ground. I did not have a car, and told the staff that. The head of housekeeping came to my room, and offered me a ride to her house to wait it out. She made coffee and grilled cheese san...
The room is very spacious with a small kitchen. Walking distance to 2 big supermarkets and eateries, Maybe it is due to peak season, their shuttle service is abit of lagging. Waited for 45 mins in the cold for the shuttle to arrive. Despite provided them with my mobile number, there is no updates of the whereabout of the shuttle pickup. After calling thrice, they told ...
Very nice hotel, with great professional staff. Really helpful ladies in reception. Great location and easy to find. Nice rooms with good wifi and good breakfast.
We were at the Alyeska resort in Girdwood for our Honeymoon. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful bell boy who got right away to help us with our luggage. He was very nice and had a very good personality and also mentioned to me when when I was looking around for help 'Don't worry sir. You're well taken of here.' There was only one check-in staf...
The moment we entered the hotel, We are already welcomed, and that's what makes me happy. And when I find out that the location of the hotel is very good, I directly gave the hotel a 4 to 5 star rating. If I were to visit anchorage again another day, I will definitely check if this hotel is available for my stay.
The rooms are very clean! Fitness center was small, but also very clean. Lots of places to eat, within walking distance. I had uber take me around, but not my first time here! Only one thing to watch out for, when asked at booking for mountain view, make sure you know what the weather will be like before spending the extra cash, I was there in dec. No view just snow t...
My husband and I decided to stay for a getaway. The room was quiet and clean. The lobby is nicely decorated and the breakfast was wonderful! I'd stay again in a heartbeat!
Great option if coming back from traveling through Alaska where there were no facilities to wash clothing. Not many places have these facilities. Staff very helpful and even gave me a lift to the airport for free.
Love this hotel. Wish the lricing was more consistent. 300+ for a room due to cruise ship folks is a bit much for those of us that live in Alaska year round. Would be nice to have a resident rate to take care of our own.
Pros - VERY close to Kodiak airport, provided shuttle to/from hotel. Stored our fish in their cooler. Staff was excellent! Cons - price was way high
The staff was friendly. There was something wrong with my bookings but they did a good job help solving it. The location is perfect. The free shuttle between hotel and airport wasn't working at the time we stayed. However, they offered to cover the taxi fee. Worked out pretty well for all of us. Highly recommended.
The hotel was pretty great and it was just Alaskan pricing, which is meant for tourists. However, they have shuttle rides from the airport to the hotel (which is about .2 miles from the airport, which is about 15 minutes away). They also have free breakfast, which starts serving at 5am to about 9am, which is great. Also, they have rides to and from downtown Juneau, wh...
Homely establishment close to airport and walking distance to transportation to city would stay again. Lovely air conditioning which is a requirement in Alaska !! in summer
Let's get it straight: is this a brand spanking new five-star hotel? No. This is an older hotel in a part of Anchorage that has perhaps seen better days. That being said, it has character that you won't find anywhere else. In place of your cookie-cutter carpets at, say, a Marriott, it has old varnished hard-woods that money can't even buy anymore. The bedding was comfy...
They had the best rate during the tourist season. If you come after 11, just wait by the door and the security guard will open the door. Front door will be locked at night.
Handicap room had toilet very very short. Valet parking was very good but a bit expensive. The rental lift chair & electric wheelchair were very nice just expensive
When we first arrived we thought the hotel was closed, a sign on the door told us to go next door to the 7 Gables Inn, it didn't look like a hotel so I was a little confused as to where to go I thought I was entering someone's house. Up the stairs and the door to the right, through a dark foyer led me to the owner, a very welcoming lady who explained she has 4 buildin...
I really enjoyed it. ! Defenetely a must come back hotel!
Huge room with jacuzzi tub, friendly staff, delicious food and great breakfast. Also complimentary shuttle to airport and ferry terminal!
I and a friend stayed at this motel during our recent trip to Denali National Park. Location wise, this hotel is located in the town of Healy, which is still a 30 minute drive north of Denali National Park. At that time (Apr 2017), it was the nearest hotel we could find that we could book from an online site. So we were happy when we finally could book a room here. ...
Nice place to stay in downtown
Honestly, the prices are pretty much what you would expect for a tourist location to be in Alaska. It is one of the few and because of that (the best hotels in Alaska). The staff is extremely friendly and they have all the necessities in their facilities. There is laundry included and it is coin operated (costs about $2.50 for a full wash and dry load). In addition, th...
Cheap places to stay in Alaska
We only stayed one night. It was a good option for us. We walked back into town which was easy. There is a bus. The view from our room was great straight out onto the water and we watched huge cruise ships come and go and sea planes take off. Breakfast was included and free shuttle to the airport.
Billie is helpful and very accommodating even way before our arrival in Fairbanks. Her place is homey, warm, and friendly. It is in a quiet, safe neighborhood. She keeps her place neat and welcoming.Ample parking space, good wifi.Highly recommended!
Wonderful place to stay. The price was right, room was clean, includes breakfast (cereal & bagels), everything was great! Would stay here again.

Winter time I would prefer the upper floor and summer time I would prefer the lower floor. The price is the best I have found We did not have any problems
The reception is very friendly and warm welcome. And hotel location is in downtown area which make it easy for walking around. However, the cost might be a bit high comparing with the hotel outside of town such as some place near Exit Glacier when it is not that too far out when the rate does not include the breakfast. However, the sink and coffee maker area might b...

Wonderful place to stay . Maria made us very welcome . Fantastic breakfast and super clean room. Would recommend to anyone wanting to have a home away from home . Thanks a bunch Maria

The hotel is okay. The room is converted from a conference room hence it is huge. Takes a while to get used to the size because it looks empty. We were on the third floor and the lift access is only to the second floor. Hence it is not convenient for folks who need help to climb stairs. Otherwise, everything is fine.

Always have a excellent stay here. This is my 5th year and it’s all ways a great experience
The owners of this hotel are a big part of my satisfaction in staying there. It is a hotel, but was more personal and welcoming than many home stays or B&B. Room was spotless and the small touches like shampoos and quality coffee and machine in the room were a welcome extra. Breakfast had a good variety of foods and as a coffee snob, it was quite good. 10/10 for me and...
I stayed for 6 days and from check in to check out, staff was very friendly, professional and helpful. At first we had difficulty figuring out the public transportation from the hotel to downtown... the front office agent assisted us by giving us a schedule. After figuring the bus system out, everything felt more accessible. There are nearby restaurants (walking distan...

If using the the refrigerator . Make sure it is running . Overall a great place
From our airport driver who picked us up at 2:30am to the front desk staff, everyone was fantastic - friendly, helpful and accommodating.
I travel around Alaska and sometimes decide to grab a hotel. I have stayed at this hotel 7-9 times in the last 8 months. I love that it is pet friendly with two outdoor areas for pets. I love the layout of the room. It has a cook top and dishes. It is next door to Fred Meyer grocery and Walgreens. Why pay for fast food or pizza when you can cook healthy. The pool is sm...

I know this location is overcoming a few obstacles and the staff there right now is doing a spectacular job of getting this hotel in top shape! I think corporate ( from the very top, NO exclusions!) ABSOLUTELY SHOULD be made to come work the trenches for at least two weeks every year! I believe that with every corporation. After all without the fantastic hard working d...
Older hotel so it has its problems. Very poor breakfast. Not helpful as far as knowing Fairbanks. Could not tell us were attractions were located. I did not find it dirty.
The lodge is at a very good location especially that its just a few steps from the free shuttle stop and walking distance to downtown. The room was so clean and spacious. We had a very relaxing stay after a long walk from downtown to the harbor (the best experience especially watching the salmons jumping on the water). Very much recommended!

The owner's and staff were very friendly. We had a very good night sleep and Chrissy's cooking was amazing!!
The hotel has excellent facilities, including a self-service coin operated laundry, free WiFi and and free Internet use. The rooms are well furnished and in excellent condition and our room was spacious enough for us and our two older children. The buffet breakfast is basic, but we enjoyed the a la carte breakfast and dinner in Juno Restaurant. The staff were friendly ...
breakfast was great
Mary Ann was our host and she made us feel very comfortable and welcome. Our room was small but had everything we needed, I am so amazed at what can be fitted into such a small room and in such a lovely way. The bed was excellent and so were the pillows, far too comfortable we didn't want to get out in the morning. Hot water in the bathroom with all the toiletries y...
