“Room is good but toilet shower area is questionable”
Room is great, it's clean, sheets are clean, they provide good amenities and free water bottle in the lobby! But you WILL hear your neighbours. I could hear them turning switches on and off, their alarm going off, pulling out the chairs, etc. I'm sure they heard me watch TV and talking in my room. My room was also a non-smoking room but the air vent brought in some cigarette smell in the morning (idk why only in the morning..). Wasn't strong but I could smell it. And if you're travelling with family that you would not like to see body parts, the toilet has one door that closes the shower area and toilet seat area with a significant gap in the middle. So if someone' s at the sink area, they could potentially see you butt naked through the crack when you open and close the door. Also, when you close the shower door, all your stuff (clothes, underwear, use your imagination) can be seen in the toilet area since now there's no door closing that area. Also, the toilet area is also sectioned off with glass with a roll down curtain, so there is a gap for people to accidentally look in too if they're sitting at the table/anywhere with a line of sight. I was on the 3rd floor so water pressure was fine for me, always had hot water instantly. But the grout in the shower area is definitely black in some areas (mold) and it wasn't brightly lit since it needed the light from outside the shower area to keep it lit. The shampoo bottle rack was also partially rusted. The door also doesn't seal the shower area well so water was pouring out into the toilet bowl area and our bath floor mat was always soaking wet to absorb all that water while showering. Overall, on a budget it's fine. It's an easy 10-15 minute walk to the the green line and 5 minute to the brown line, with a direct bus to Taipei Main Station. So it's convenient. But the experience would've been better with a better bathroom experience. Room was enjoyable with smart tv so they had YT, Disney and Netflix.
