I (TN native) would prob book here again if needed, while my boujuee Hawaiian friend wouldn’t 😂 Rates were double the price due to the holiday weekend, so for that price the room wasn’t great., but for the regular rate the room would be acceptable. The website still advertises free breakfast, even tho the facility itself is still using CV19 as an excuse not to serve it 😂 It also advertises a pool and hot tub, but they’re both locked at dark….not sure who wants to use a hot tub during TN’s 100° weather during daylight hours, so that was disappointing. Nothing in the place has been updated or replaced since at least the 80s. It was nice they have the plastic lawn furniture under the breezeways to hang out and eat—we were really worried this would be a magnet for people to congregate loudly right outside our room, but luckily that didn’t happen. (heavier people prob won’t feel comfortable as the chairs feel they may buckle or break) The ac worked, the room was clean by today’s standards (since no one can keep staff anymore), there was a mini fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker. Lodge seemed to be located right in the middle of a main road, which is prob great during non-peak traffic. They did only give us one room key at check-in (even tho we clearly booked a room w 2 queen beds for 2 adults)….so check your cards and make sure to ask for an extra cuz there is so much to do sometimes people get separated and need to get back in the room. There was plenty of free parking at the hotel, which was convenient. We bought some sheets, pillow cases and towels from Walmart and made sure to use flip flops instead of going barefoot and found it to be a slightly more economical place to stay—we were lucky to be able to book within the price range at 10pm Friday night of a Labor Day weekend haha I will say this was my first time using Agoda and was pleasantly surprised there were zero issues w the third party booking—there were filing cabinets clearly labeled w third party boo

We had two rooms. (We would have preferred adjoining rooms) The door to the bathroom would not close all of the way. Not sure if the door was to large or it was just old. We had three adults in one room with a baby, and 4 adults in the other room with a baby. Plenty of room for all of luggage and space to move around. The room next to ours was being worked on. The workers were polite, but there was a lot of noise, they shut down in the evening. We had two babies who needed naps. The location was great. It was hard to get out of the drive due to a lot of traffic. Parking lot was small, again having two small babies, coming in after sightseeing. Parking spot were slim to none close to our rooms, so we had to park in the drive, unload the babies and everything that comes with them, and move our vehicles to parking spots away. We walked next door to eat, up the street to Krispy Kreme and the stores. Honestly, I believe they were working on upgrading this hotel. Our stay was, nice, the weather was good. Would I recommend this hotel to someone? Yes I would

Let’s start with check-in: No phone operable in the lobby office. No phones in the rooms. Eating and got on the cell phone as I was trying to check-in. Did not tell me the password to Wi-Fi. Had to walk 3 floors back down to ask. Elevator was filthy all 4 days and stunk bad. Walking up the ramps became more trashy never cleaned like my room and everyone else I asked. We all passed by carrying towels and amenities that we had to go get ourselves if we want clean ones. The bed has these short rail handle like thick iron suppose to hold the mattress in place. Mattress did not fit the bed. Busted my knee on the iron steel things several times and mashed my hand. *#$&&!!!cursed. Breakfast we were told 7:30. First day… we all find out they locked the lobby and don’t come to work until 8:00AM. and breakfast is at 8:30AM. Raisin Bran has Cheerios in its dispenser. One dispenser always empty. No jelly or jams. It put the Con in Continental breakfast. Pretty sad. I had no roaches or bugs in the room since remodeling going on. The hotel must make their money from the convention center because I felt like ignored totally as a guest. I just did not have the time with busy schedule and trying to enjoy staycation to ask for linings, broom, mop, and cleaning supplies to do my own room. In America that is what we pay for at a hotel…. Simple things to be cleaned daily. Most did not speak English or understood me; I let them all know that we should not have to come in from going places all day and do their job, Everyone there had to take their own trash out also. Quiet a bit trash all over the place, ramps too. Such a big place that could be a 5 star but lucky to get one star. The owner needs me to run the place before it is run into the ground. All foreigners work there. No where I have travelled in the world have I seen a place like this run. Sorry, I hate this but 2 thumbs down and your hotel wins the worse in the world year award. Sad. A lady outside waiting on breakfast called Wyndham and was giving them a lot of complaints. There’s no reason a hotel should be so bad. Get your Act straight or close down until you do. We stayed 3 nights and from the get go it was a bad experience. We had a family emergency and had to check in around 4am and i had to call the number on the door 3 Times before someone answered and it took him approx 20 mins to come down to the office. All he did was ask for my ID and tag number and then he literally slid a piece of paper and ink pen over the counter to me and didnt say “fill this out” or any instruction at all. So i figured it out and he tells me “hold on i need to check and see if the room is clean”? Really? Luckily for us it was clean and he proceeded to tell me where the room was located and i need to let you know for this review that i am a leg amputee. He tells me i can take the stairs straight up to our room or there is a ramp about half way down and i then asked is there an elevator and he said “um im not sure, oh wait there is one all the way down at the other end of the hotel” (keep in mind our room was literally just above the office) So we get to the room AND THERE WAS NOTHING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that matched the pics they have posted on line. There was a couch in the other room that was broken and sank down in the middle and it was right next to the supposed jacuzzi tube that none of the jets worked in and it stopped filling with hot water about half way thru so it wasnt able to be used at all. Next was none of the ice machines worked so we cldnt get ice for our drinks. The walkways down the halls were so dark you cldnt see the enormous chunks of concrete missing in different spots along the way. My son was pushing me in my wheelchair and we hit one of the chunks missing on the sidewalk and i literally fell out of my chair face first onto the pavement scratching my leg that i do have and knocking the wind out of me.. So my son had to help me up and get me back into the chair and the large cup of ice i was carrying from us having to go to a gas station late at night for ice was ruined bc when i fell from my wheelchair it was tossed into the air along with my cell phone that received damage. When i got to the room our key card didnt work and had tk call the person on call and it took nearly 30 mins for him to come down and the lady that answered the phone said she was in charge of 4 hotels and that he would down in a minite and he finally came and the gentleman didnt seem to act too concerned when i tried to tell him about it. I Asked for towels the next morning from 2 different housekeepers and finally had to go down to the office to get them myself. I hate to leave a review like this but noone shld ever have to get this kind of service after paying good money…….
