We had an awesome stay at Namba Oriental Hotel in Osaka! The location is fantastic – step out of the hotel and you're immediately surrounded by eateries, souvenir shops, and vibrant street life. It’s also conveniently close to multiple train stations and Takashimaya, which made getting around super easy. The hotel accepts both cards and cash, and check-in was smooth. Breakfast was a real highlight – great variety with both Japanese and international options. Everything was fresh and delicious. A major plus was the free guest laundry and dryer, as well as the complimentary guest lounge access from 2–10pm. There was free-flowing snacks, beverages, wine, and beer (last order at 9:30pm). A really nice touch that added value to the stay. Housekeeping was available daily upon request, and they even changed the sheets without extra charge – which was appreciated. However, a couple of downsides to mention: the room was very small and cramped, which made movement difficult, especially for my wheelchair-bound mother. I requested a simple plastic chair for the bathroom, but unfortunately, the hotel couldn’t provide one. That was disappointing, and accessibility could definitely be improved. Also noticed slight dust in room corners and on top of the bed frame. As i am severely allergic to dust mites, hence this experience wasn't the best for me. I gotta avoid coming in contact with even just a bit. Otherwise, overall cleanliness was acceptable. Despite these issues, the service, amenities, and location made this a great place to stay in Osaka. Would recommend – especially for those not needing accessibility features.

Excellent location, nested between Namba, Nipponbashi, and Dotonbori. JR, Nankai, and Kintetsu stations are very close. Unlimited food options including breakfast, like Gihuya. There is a Lawson right beside the entrance. Since it's inside a shopping district it gets very crowded in the day and early evening, but upstairs in the room it's quite serene. Laundy lounge is amazing with 10 washers and 10 dryers so even if it can get busy it's often easy to get a couple of machines to wash a good batch. It's free too and high tech with ion technology (no detergent used). They have a welcome lounge we didn't use but presumably free, open from 9AM to 10PM IIRC. Coffee in the laundry lounge is also free and unlimited. Minor annoyance at the start, was when it took a while for the staff to accommodate us be because there was only 1 person and the other desks were empty. When someone finally got to us, they gave us only 1 room card (there were 3 of us), so we had to request the other two the next morning.

My stay at Oriental Hotel was mostly excellent. The room was quiet and comfortable. The hotel offered complimentary alcoholic and soft drinks in the welcome lounge, as well as free laundry service. It was in a prime location, close to many local amenities. Breakfast buffet featured a wide variety of delicious options. However, I was slightly disappointed when my request to bring some bread and fruit to my wife and daughter who were unwell and unable to attend the breakfast buffet was declined. It would be appreciated if the hotel could show more flexibility or make exceptions in such cases. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. With a bit more consideration in special circumstances, the experience could be even better.

its another business hotel. location is great. Staff are nice but its a big busy hotel, the personal experience lacks a bit. the carpets were worn and tired. the bathroom and bed were clean and comfortable. Super handy facility is the self service luggage room, its free if you can find a spot and can lock your suitcase in with the combination key locks provided. Its only for guests waiting to check in or checking out the same day but don't want to walk around town with luggage. i would recommend this place and i would stay here again

This time, I chose to stay at the Namba Oriental Hotel located in the Namba area for the first time. The hotel's location is very ideal, being very close to Nankai Railway Station and Namba Station. Most routes have shopping streets with canopies, reducing inconvenience caused by unstable weather, and you can also reach the hotel via the underground arcade when heavy rain (this route is slightly farther). There are many different restaurants around the hotel, so dining is not a problem at all. The hotel offers an exclusive lounge for guests to enjoy various drinks and snacks at designated times, which is perfect for those looking to relax during their trip. Due to frequent use, the sofa shows some stains, and increased cleanliness is recommended. Additionally, the hotel provides 24-hour free self-service laundry and drying services, which is very convenient, though it tends to be busy at night. For luggage storage, the hotel uses a self-service storage method where guests can set a password to secure their luggage; it's simple to use with ample storage space and quantity. The room size is moderate, and even after placing a king size double bed, there is still enough space for 2 to 3 seat sofa and a tea table, providing a good sense of space. The cleanliness is also very satisfactory, without noticeable stains or hair, showing that the cleaning staff is very diligent. It is recommended that the hotel improve the placement of the room's light switch, as it is currently somewhat inconvenient requiring guests to climb onto the bed to reach it. And recommend keep cleaning the in-room carpet. Special thanks to the hotel staff for arranging a quieter room for us according to the booking request.
