Kamenoi Annex is a sister hotel to the larger (likely newer) Kamenoi hotel. The later seems to have more amenities and nicer finish than the Annex. We stayed at the Annex for three nights including the kaiseki dinner. The food quality was good but not outstanding. For example, the shabu shabu had chicken vs beef. The menu also repeated itself for the third night. The staff was attentive and super friendly. The spa facilities includes an outdoor area. Not grandiose but nicely appointed. The room was large and overlooked the ocean. I feel the Annex is likely an older hotel, refurbished but a little tired, but kept immaculately clean. I would come back here and try to stay at the larger hotel next time.

I had a great 2 nights stay here in Japanese style room. Room size was spacious with great view of the city and the sea. our room has toilet and sink without shower but this was not a problem at all to use the shower at the onsen facility in the hotel. I have a big tattoo and guests here are majority Japanese family and a lot of elderly. I need to used the private onsen instead with extra charged which is quite pricey per session 3,300Yen. If you are a couple, you could go in together and it is still the same rate. It is clean with toilet, dryer and toiletries. I booked with traditional Japanese dinner meal for both nights. They are delicious and eye candy. Breakfast were great if you are a fan of Japanese style breakfast. My room was at the end of the corridor on the 4th floor next to the emergency exit but it was not creepy nor scary at all. The only minus I would give is it might be inconvenient to those who does not drive a car here. However the room rate here is not as expensive compared to hotels in the same area which offered same services.

This was my first time using the service. It was a family trip that we had been looking forward to for my birthday, and as soon as we entered the room, there was a lovely surprise with a "Happy Birthday" card on display. My one-year-old daughter was able to enjoy the spacious tatami room. Also, there were baby-friendly chairs in the bath and restaurant, which made it comfortable. The only concern I had was that the explanation given by the person at the reception when we checked in was lacking. While there were no issues with their service, there was no information about Wi-Fi or the events happening in the facility, so I had to go back to the reception to confirm. The other reception staff provided explanations beforehand, so I’m thinking perhaps the person who assisted us was new.

The location is great! It's a bit of a distance by bus, but it doesn't bother me at all. The food is fairly good, not exceptionally delicious. Dinner was served in a restaurant style. The room was cold, and the air conditioning was difficult to understand. The outdoor hot spring was at just the right temperature and located in the mountains, with fresh air, so it felt really nice to soak in. I was happy to find a ReFa hairdryer. There was no place to put used towels. The room was cleaned, but it felt like it had been a while since the last cleaning. There was a bit of dust left behind. I was woken up by the notification sound from the neighbor's LINE app. Generally, I couldn't hear voices, but the walls felt a bit thin. The clientele included families, elderly couples, some young people, friends, and couples. It was a good environment to relax in. Given that it was during the Golden Week holiday, it felt a bit expensive.

“The hotel is excellent.”
I stayed the night after the total lunar eclipse. My room was on the second floor, and I could go out onto the balcony from where the moon looked incredibly beautiful. The interior was also clean and nice. The hot spring was very pleasant, especially the half-open-air bath. I went to the hot spring in the morning as well, but the gender designation was reversed, and it was enjoyable to experience a different view than at night. For dinner, the timing of the dishes being served was just perfect, and the late-night dan dan noodles were also very delicious. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety, and I could eat a lot. I was a bit disappointed because I had also reserved the bus for both going and returning. On the way there, they didn't tell the people already seated to move in, but they only asked us to fill in from the back. As a result, my friends and I ended up sitting in a line. If they had instructed everyone to fill from the back from the start, we could have sat next to each other. Why were we the only ones told to fill in from the back? On the way back, there were more people with suitcases, and some couldn't find a seat. The driver told those with suitcases to place them on their laps and to bring out the auxiliary seats. Among the passengers, there were elderly people who were also lamenting about having to put their heavy suitcases on their laps. The facilities and service at the hotel were very satisfactory, but I felt a bit disappointed at the beginning and the end of the trip. I would like to receive a response regarding this matter.
