Jiu Fen hotels & accommodations

Hotel is situated at the foot of Jiu fen market street. 1 flight of stairs away to access to Jiu Fen Market and convenience stores. Hotel is clean and staff is very friendly. Breakfast is simple and wonderful. However, rooms are in 2nd level and there is no elevator. Travellers with very heavy luggage have to carry up the stairs.

Staff were very friendly, room was cooling, breakfast was wonderful. VERY close by to the Jiu Fen Old Street. Only downfall was the location: couldn’t find the location and we had to climb uphill. Tried calling them but no one answered. Good to check which busstop to alight before travelling there.

We went on a weekend and managed to get into Jiu Fen in less than an hour by uber. The drivers said that we were fortunate to get into Jiu Fen in an hour, as the traffic jams up the hill can last up to 4-5 hours recently. There were alot of mainland tourists and the streets were EXTREMELY crowded during the weekend. This is important to note because Chiu Chunt Dint Inn...

Delightfully surprised at how well maintained the hotel was, and how artistically designed it was. In the midst of the drab surroundings, Ample Villa stands a class above the rest. As was the intention of the owner, Ample Villa was meant to delight the senses, provide the romantic ambiance for couples and a relaxing feel to the occupants. The view from our room oversee...

Strategic location just few steps from Jiu Fen Old Street but room is too small and somehow it's very very cold (winter season). There is draft coming in but we are unable to locate where the draft is from. THe staff is very very kind as she saw we were shaking uion check in, she gave us two handwarmers for free.

We stayed here for 1 night. Location was good. DO NOT follow Google Map's directions and get off at DaGan Lin bus stop - you will have to climb over a hundred steps up the steep slopes. Drop at the 711 at Jiu Fen Old Street and walk! Experience - Quiet corner from busy Jiufen Old Street, even though shops close around 7 - breakfast was hearty and simple, no...

Cozy and modern stay with great access to Jiufen old street, less than 3 mins walk. Nothing much to do at night as most of the shop close at 7.30pm but would be good if you want to enjoy the silent night view of Jiu Fen. Breakfast consists of quarter piece of waffle, tea egg, meat bun, cut fruits and a beverage of choice; simple but filling.

The host was super helpful: 1. we couldn't find the place and when I called him, he gave me his Line account and sent me a step by step instruction via pictures on how to get there. 2. Once there, he did not have other guests and instead of the shared bathroom option we had booked, he upgraded us to the room with a bathroom in it. for free! 3. He proactively offered...

We were impressed by the beautiful interior and exterior design of Chien Ching B&B II. The owner paid attention to every single detail in it. The wooden furniture and decorations are unique. As the B&B only have 3 rooms, we feel full of privacy. The room is very spacious, with enough lights to warm us up in the cold rainy Jiu Fen. For 4 person room, there is a cozy w...

The hotel is very exquisitely designed and extremely well maintained by the housekeepers. The breakfast is very healthy, delicious and Instagrammable in every way. It's so tranquil that you can hardly believe that it's located so near to the ever-crowded Jiufen. It can be a great hideaway spot for those who are planning a trip to replenish themselves or relax here. The...

Once you alighted from the bus stop at jiu fen. Walked into jiu fen old street all the way towards the end. Hostel is run by a nice lady, however she is the only staff there. So do not come earlier than 3pm. Loved the ambience of the boutique hotel. Very nice place to crash in jiu fen.

It was a pleasant 2 day 1 night stayover at here. Thanks Ms Jian, she is a very nice host btw, she intro us places to visit around Jiu Fen and left us a copy of the map too! Nice things here: Location convenient, near 7 eleven, near old street entrance, strong wifi, hot and cold shower, hair dryer, value for money. Not so good : Not recommended for those who carry hu...

Sea Cafe was the perfect place for my daughter and me. It is in a beautiful location overlooking the ocean and the mountains. The large picture window in our room gave a spectacular view, day and night. (At night, they light up some of the nearby sights.) The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. It is 10 minutes (by car) from Jiufen, so easy to visit the old ...

We really enjoyed our stay at Arabian Night. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were really helpful and gave us advice as to where to visit and what to do in Jiufen. Breakfast as delicious and had a great view. The hotel was close to the base of the steps leading up to the old street so it made for a good starting point for exploring Jiufen.

I really enjoyed my one-night visit to Jiu Fen, particularly because of my choice of Kyufun Komachi Inn. It is a quaint inn designed in the Japanese style, with good quality fittings and furnishing, complete with tatami mats, futon and even yukata for hire. The room size is adequate and the view of the coast and mountain is a great perk. I am very pleased with the warm...

Quite hard for us to find the hotel (following google map), we walk a big round to find the hotel, but actually just near to jiu fen entrance (7 minutes walk) but there is long stairs to climb, not suitable to carry heavy luggage Breakfast is sandwich, can request vegetarian sandwich room is clean but don't expect to much :)

This is one of the best value hotel I have been to. I went back again 2 nights later on a last-minute change of travel plans. Location-wise it is a few minutes walk away from Ruifang train station, a 20min bus ride away from Jiufen, so quite easy and convenient. Yu-yu, the owner, is the kindest person I have met, always there to make your stay memorable. Place is super...

We arrived at Jiu Fen on a rainy evening with tired legs. The host gave us options to stay in the room at level 2 (nearer to the sea view) or the room at level4 (in another building across the room). Without hesitate, we choose the room at level 2. The room is nicely decorated with comfortable sofa, bed set, dehumidifier, air conditioning, fridge, water heater, coffee ...

This place is run by a very nice couple. It has a lovely view looking out from the shared patio and eating area. It's a bit hard to find and there are no signs in English, so you have to ask around to find it the first time. We had to pay $10 a night for parking in a shared parking lot, which was a bummer. You might be able to avoid the charge by showing a receipt of t...

Best part about this B and B is that it's just a short walk to a flight of stairs leading to Jiufen old street. That said, it's impossible to find the place on your own without contacting the owner for directions. The quad room itself is spacious and clean. The room has an en-suite bathroom while the separate toilet is oddly outside of the room. There was an unpleas...

Is nice to stay as the host is friendly and she served us very big portion breakfast (soup, bread, fruits, drinks). Very easy to find the place, just less than 5 mins walk from the bus stop station. Only 5 mins climb up over the staircase to the Jiu Fen old street. Highly recommended. Will stay Jing Zhan again if I ever go to Jiu Fen in the future.

The place is located near the old street, it’s a bit hard to find with google maps (they don’t have small direct path shown on the map) but we called the owner and he came to pick us up immediately. The owner is very nice, he showed us the direction to the nearby attractions with great details including how to take public transport and restaurants he recommend. The ...

Location is perfect where is near bus stop, less than 1 min walking and 2 mins to Old Street Market. Sea view room is the best ever eventhough room condition itself is not much new as expectation but it is acceptable. Shower room is also one of the great thing. Breakfast was served by set menu. Taiwanese ladies had warm welcoming and we are really appreciated with this...

Quite easy to get there by bus. but I would suggest not to bring big suitcase coz you need to climb some steps. It is a Jampanese style cabin. Room is pretty and clean. Quiet Neighbourhood. You can enjoy a great view of Jiufen underneath your feet. The host is nice and helpful. Will come again next time

The whole house is just so aesthetically pleasing, with so many spots to take pictures even in the room itself, big garden and comfy atmosphere. One down side is that it is pretty far from jiufen. A 6 minute walk to the bus stop under the stroking hot sun is not so ideal. Other than that its all really good. Bring your own but spray!
Cheap places to stay in Jiu Fen

My stay and encounter with the host- Mdm Jenny has made my stay in Jiu Fen so much more memorable. Not only does she make u feel right at home, she is also very helpful with all the travel tips around Taiwan. The place is clean and well equipped. And there is a common balcony with a beautiful view overlooking the sea and hills.... Location wise is also excellent as the...

owner was a nice guy who will offer choice to place of interest. this hostel located just next to the busstop to jiufen, jinguang shi, niutou pi etc. make sure u check the timing for certain bus. Comfortable bed. staircase in tw is usually steep, will recommend to keep heavy luggage in their storeroom (24hr open) and bring up only what u need to level 2. Bring your own...

Top not notch hospitality (Show you are a star!), the most beautiful, little enchanting house with ocean views from the terrace right outside the front & delicious homemade breakfast. This place is the perfect getaway. Just far away enough from the tourist hotspots and still only 10 walking minutes from Old Street. Perfect.

The staff were really nice, the place is quite affordable and is located right along the winding paths of Jiu Fen old street. So location-wise, it is right at the heart of the action BUT it is also quite hard to find, being located up a smaller, darker alley just a little off the old street. Facilities are also a bit smaller and older than On My Way Taipei, but if you ...

Breakfast is simple and wonderful. However, rooms are in 2nd level and there is no elevator. Travellers with very heavy luggage have to carry up the stairs.

I booked for 2 rooms originally. 1 room for our family of 3 with a older child; another room for my elderly dad. When we arrived, we found that the smaller rooms required some stairs which will not be convenient for my dad. However the room for our family was quite large to accommodate 4 of us. In the end, we asked if we could all squeeze into 1 room instead. The hosts...

A small homestay with everything you need. Comfortable and and good location. Owner is extremely nice and polite and very helpful as well. There is a few way to get to the hotel. If you don’t have heavy bag you can stop at the police station and climb up the stairs. If you have heavy bag is better to stop at the temple and walk about 10 mins to reach the place.

Pro: Friendly host, Delicious Breakfast, Tidy room with facilities, Toiletries including towel and hair dryer, Drinking water dispenser Con: quite hard to find (the location is the same as agoda website, noticing no.93) Hotel Tel. 02-24975217, 091-2573956

The thing I like the most about Shi Jia is their location, it is located at the middle of the street which is convenient for us to find food! and also, you can go up to their roof top to take picture of the scenery of jiu fen =) Their staffs are friendly too!

Pro: near to Jiu fen old street, next to convenience store Cons: very poor room and toilet condition. No heater in the room in such cold weather. Toilet is very disgusting, even public toilet is better than room toilet. Room is dirty and observed lots of dust and dirt below the bed at mazzanine. Fooled by the photo. I even thought of finding another accommodation at j...

If you’re looking for a place to stay that’s not too busy but within proximity of Jiu Fen, this is the place for you. Nothing much happens after 6pm in this area. We arrived around that time and the darkness of the area made us feel unsure if we were at the right spot. In the morning though, the location is nice as it’s just next to the goldmine museum. Lots of tourist...
