Excellent value but tram ride from station.”
Although it’s not near the station, a tram ride on the no1 line takes you very close. Close to Peace Park, easy walk to shops and restaurants. There’s a free laundry, but beware the drier takes forever! Our room was large and very comfortable. Would easily stay again a next time.

There is a playground nearby which makes a pretty convenient landmark for 1st time traveller. The washer, dryer and detergent are free to use. I felt the hotel is really hospitable and accommodating to traveller, they have a desk, humidifier, heater, aircon and also an english printed instructional sheet and room layout in case you do not know how to use the appliances like the air conditioning. Really went the extra mile. Oh and did I also mention they keep your bags after checkout as part of their service so you dont have to store them at train lockers =)

Room bigger than other average Japanese hotels. Actually had ample space to open a large suitcase. Walking distance to peace park and the atomic dome. Also very close to the shopping street

A short walk away from the peace park and dome, with a shopping arcade just around the corner for restaurants and cafés. Rooms are a bit old and are showing signs of wear and tear, but they are spacious and clean with all the amenities you could need.

Limited english efficiency but super nice staffs”
Staffs can communicate in basic english, able to answer to common requests like asking for adaptor or direction. even when they couldn’t really understand or speak, they are super nice and tried to help by using translator. would definitely recommend this hotel or stay again if I go hiroshima!

Great location but it's getting old”
The hotel located next to the memorial Park and a-bomb building, walking distance to one of the shopping Street. The down side of the hotel is toilet seat doesn't come with heater seating during winter time, slightly old furniture.

hotel condition is a bit old but still very comfortable for the price that i was paying. staffs are great and very helpful. 5 mins walk from hondori street car station or you can take meipurupu tourist bus and stop at atomic bomb center or peace park musuem and walk from there. short walking distance to the peace park and the hiroshima winter dreamination. alot of restaurants nearby and 24hrs lawson,family mart too. ichiran is 3mins away too.hondori shopping street is 5 mins away.overall this is a value for money hotel with good location.

Great Stay at Parkside Hotel ”
Our stay has overall been amazing. Strategically located nearby Hondori Street and Hiroshima Peace Park. It is a 6 min walk from Hiroshima Bus Centre ( might be challenging without Google Maps) and few mins walk from Hondori Streetcar Station ( aka Hiroden) which connects to Hiroshima Station. The check-in process was very smooth as we were allowed to check-in early to one of our rooms (normally check-in at 3pm). This left a positive impression as most Japanese hotels are very strict with their check-in time and they also provided a useful guide to all the appliances in the room. Plus,they have plenty of travel guidebooks to Hiroshima and Miyajima. The staff at the front desk wasn't exactly fluent in English ( it wasn't an issue as we knew Japanese) but they were friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff was extremely helpful too. The room was very spacious for a Japanese hotel and had plenty of plug outlets( international adaptor provided too). Only issue I had was the poor WiFi.

Location Was PERFECT”
Hotel Park Side Hiroshima Peace Park is right across the river from Memorial Peace Park. It takes about 5 minutes to walk there. You will also be an even closer walk to the lively covered shopping/dining street/district known as Hondori. The hotel staff gave us their recommendation for their favorite okonomiyaki, the dish Hiroshima is known for. It was AMAZING! The hotel let us store our luggage both before we could check in and after we checked out until our scheduled Shinkansen. We could not have been more pleased with this place.

We had an amazing time at Park Side Hotel. The hotel was in an excellent location, right across the river from the Peace Park and really close to restaurants and shops. The rooms were a lot bigger than I expected and had lots of extras such as a humidifier (perfect for this time of year), toiletries, extra blanket and the hotel also offers a free laundry room which was unbelievably useful for us and a great surprise. We didn't have the breakfast during our stay but I am sure it is excellent considering the rest of the facilities in the hotel. The staff were really friendly, helped us with bus routes and things to do around Hiroshima and also looked after our bags for us. We really appreciate them speaking English as well given that we do not speak Japanese. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough to people visiting Hiroshima. Great value for money and excellent service!

A Comfortable Stay”
I recently stayed for three nights at Hotel Park Side and was very happy with my choice. The location is great in many ways, as it's very close to the Peace Park, multiple tram stops, shopping areas, restaurants, etc. If you're planning on buying the all-day pass for the tram with the combo ticket for the Miyajima ferry, you can buy it at the hotel, and it's quite close to the appropriate tram line. I was very impressed with the kindness of the staff, both at the front desk and the cleaning crew. One woman helped show me how to use the free washing machine on the second floor as I was a bit confused with the Japanese instructions. On my first full day, I put a "Do Not Disturb" sign on my door as I didn't think the room needed any cleaning yet. When I got back to my room later, there was a big bag hanging on the doorknob with fresh towels and other toiletries. I've never had that done for me at a hotel before and was quite impressed with the consideration. If I'm ever back in Hiroshima, I'll definitely come back.

Lovely hotel”
The hotel is literally at the side of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park thus the hotel name. Our room was facing the park itself. Not so much of a view but it's better than just facing a concrete wall. Our room size bigger than the normal Japan's standard. Clean, yes. Comfortable, yes. Eateries, plenty around the hotel. You just have to walk and explore. There's a free internet wifi provided. And upon check in there a complimentary face mask for the ladies, which I think a nice gesture.
