Place was "value for money" compared to the price of the Disney hotels. Going to and from the Disneyland resorts via the ART bus shuttle is convenient for a fee. I am just concerned over the fact that I was advertised to get a Disney view room - what we got was the back of the Guardians of the Galaxy ride and the higher portions of the fireworks.

Pros: room was big, exceptional staff, always so friendly and helpful. Especially Andy. Always made sure i was okay. Walkable distance from disneyland. But to los angeles city- a bit of a drive. Cons: bathroom was small. Although a bit pricey can't put a number on service. Would definitely stay and recommend this hotel again.

set just a quarter of a mile away from the los angeles international airport (lax) and featuring a complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport, the hilton los angeles airport hotel in california is ideally situated for travelers using lax. the hotel’s 1,234 guest rooms are equipped with wifi and feature bright, modern furnishings. keep up with work in the bus...

Nice hotel, the room was a decent size and very clean. The pool area was nice, though it's more for relaxing than doing serious lengths. The price actually dropped considerably after we had booked, so beware of this if you go for the 'No refund' option. We had an issue with the valet parking though. The hotel stated we could leave the car until 3:00 p.m but one of th...

We stayed here for the weekend of BlizzCon and it was a fantastic stay. The hotel is beautiful and close to all areas you would be interested in. One thing that needs to be discussed is that while my wife and I were at BlizzCon, an individual who stated they were security and needed to enter our room knocked on our door with my Mom and one-year old daughter inside. He ...

Alex, the front desk associate, was very kind and upgraded our stay. We were on our honeymoon, and he also generously added a credit to our room. Overall, the aesthetic was great, very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Needless to say, but the view from the 12th floor of the observatory was amazing. Sunday brunch at pot, couldn't complain about anything. Pro...

We have stayed in this hotel a few times to attend special events at Knott's Berry Farm. You cannot get closer to the amusement park than their own hotel on property. It is a very short walk to the front gate and you can spend that time browsing the Berry Market shops and eating establishments along the way. The rooms are kept up fairly well. Many rooms are having a m...

This place is in a good location not far at all from the 3rd Street Promenade. Rooms are clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable. Shower was great, the pressure was one of the best out of any hotel I have stayed in. The only small thing that bugged me was the time to check out. We paid cash for incidentals and even though the mini bar has pressure sensors we still...

This art deco Hotel has a fabulous location, facing Santa Monica beach, the view of which is best observed from the rooftop bar. Any stay at this Hotel is made more pleasurable by the attention to detail meted out by Sven Norreberg, the dynamic Manager, who is absolutely dedicated to his job & his guests.

After a bad experience a few days earlier at a Hotel that was being refurbished during our stay, the noise of jackhammers on arrival here was a bit concerning, however we needn't have worried. The Hotel has been completely renovated, and whilst works were ongoing to the ground floor (I believe to create a restaurant) the rooms were all complete and to a very nice stand...

The hotel is very clean, big space room, everything is out of our expectation, its like 5 star hotel. Highly recomended to stay here. This hotel at prime location at downtown los angeles, near convention center, staple center and shopping mall area. Will come back here to stay for sure...

loving this hotel. its located at sunset boulevard, a very famous street in los angeles. and theres a restaurant "asia de cuba" in the lobby area, the food is amazing and you can find hollywood celebrities dining there if you are lucky. The room is quite spacious and unique too

People always emphasize, location location location, well here's a place that lies minutes away from the Los Angeles International Airport and to LA's nightlife, with an atmosphere and environment to match! Not only does it come hooked up with it's own restaurant, found on your ios or anderoid appstore's Door Dash, but also a Marijuana Dispensary (Recreational shop)!!!...

The only advantage is the location, which takes 10-15 mins walk from the station. It is clean and the staff are friendly. But, it is a bit over priced for a night stay provided that no special facility I could enjoy. Still it is good for people who don't drive in Los Angeles to have a fun day in Universal Studio.

In fairness only the desk clerk on duty disappointed me on my day of arrival.I dont know if its their policy but i was so disappointed when i learned they asked my daughter to pay the three days stay in the hotel even if i payed it already when i booked it last May.They refunded the money to my account but i was so embarrassed that the first day of my daughter and son ...

A lovely hotel with beautifully appointed rooms and friendly staff. The only negative is that the walls are quite thin and you can hear other guests walking around or talking in the next room. This may have been isolated to my part of the hotel, however if you like a super quiet stay - check with the hotel on your room location before booking.

The hotel was fine, perfectly adequate as a base. My suggestion is to have a car to drive out to nicer places such as Santa Monica, we were absolutely shocked at the state of Hollywood itself, you can walk 15 mins to the main area with the stars on the foot path but it’s filthy. Lots of beggars, stink and filth.

hotel location was great, it's within downtown and close to lots of convenience. it's close to the underground station, restaurants, convenience stores and within downtown area along the min street. hotel room was nice and spacious, our bed is comfy, basically everything has no complaints given this is merely a 3 star hotel. i like the japanese theme of this hotel, it ...

Stayed here on a very busy weekend in Los Angeles, got a pretty good price compared to the other hotels in the area. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Hotel is definitely a bit older but has been remodeled with new amenities. The location was perfect. Pool was heated and nice except the building shade blocks the sun fairly early in the day. Would definitely stay he...

We loved our very short stay at the Georgian Hotel. We got room 801 which had a great ocean view. The hotel also gave us complementary welcome drinks at the bar. The room was spacious and well decorated (although old style, it was very very nice). As we were on our honeymoon, it was a very romantic place to be. We were well looked after and really enjoyed our stay...

We were traveling with a baby and needed a quite hotel in Los Angeles near to the sights of Hollywood and other spots. Our expectations were met. The rooms are clean, well-equipped and large. The staff is professional and efficient. The lobby feels a little over-trendy (though some may like that anyhow), but the rooms are actually very warm and comfortable. Recommend. ...

Tried to give us a Vista suite instead of City view suite even though cost was a lot more. Spent 45 mins to sort out and showed them paperwork to confirm booking room type. Was not happy but did get a free meal out of it. Nevertheless, not what is expected from a 5* hotel. On the plus side, it is a very cool, trendy hotel and the included breakfast although only cold w...

I love Melrose hostel so much! The bed is so comfortable and roommates are all nice.Melrose is the best choice for someone travels alone. The owner asked me what kind of drugs I did and when I told him I don't do drugs. He then asked if I drank in which I told him I did not. He found it strange and asked how I handled stress as if it is normal to do drugs or drink to handle anything. I told him I only drink to celebrate and he said that that was strange. I booked an all female room but this room is acc...

Its absolutely the best hostel Ive lived in the states. The staff r so chilled, so many different activities every day that u feel so great because u can meet everyone in just one day(its a huge hostel BTW). I recommended this hostel to my friends, they all like it. Vibe here is always social and friendly. I stayed here for my first night and last 2 nights, just perfe...

As a solo female traveller, it can be difficult to narrow down on a hostel in Hollywood. But this place was the best! It's extremely close to Hollywood Boulevard and TCL Chinese Theatre (a 3-minute walk). The rooms and bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly, and always ready with some helpful advice. They have a DIY breakfast, but all the pr...

Location just could’nt be better... walk of fame is right at the front door. Across the hotel is the metro subway station, Dolby Theater, TCL Chinesse theater and the lot that you need to see while in Hollywood. On Sunday the part of hollywood boulevard in front of the hotel was closed for vehicles. So you can enjoy all the actions more freely. To my surprise the hoste...

Great place to stay, cheap and affordable so don’t expect the Hilton or ritz when you arrive but certainly value for money. Only downfall is customer service.with staff. They hire backpackers for front desk so the desk people aren’t there cause they want to, but cause they have to as it pays for their rooms.... I said hello every time I came and left for the day but wa...

I booked for just one day, but when I arrived PodShare, I regreted a lot. If I have another chance to stay in LA, I’m gonna stay here again without any hesitation!! This hostel is SUPER clean, and has everything(shampoo, body shampoo, hair dryer, even toothpaste! + something to eat like bread, milk, tea, coffee, etc+ also has WATER). Eventhough I just stayed here one d...

The social room on the 1st floor is awesome, it feels like a bar atmosphere and I thought it was one at first where you order drinks etc.. That said, I don't think can justify paying over $50 a night for a dorm bed in a hostel, but maybe that's just because it is Los Angeles. Pricey spot.

I was unable to sustain an internet connection in my room. I gave up on the in-room internet after a couple of days. I don't know if the other rooms at Stay on Main are the same way with the internet. One of the staff at the front desk told me that the in-room internet connections were weak due to the building being constructed with brick. The lack of an in-room intern...

Not as close to Disneyland but still good. About 2 bus rides away. There are some food options available in the area. I saw an El Pollo Loco. I wasn't able to try it though. Breakfast was okay as it is the typical bread breakfast that's kinda average for me. Amenities was also okay. There was a pool by the hotel parking lot. The star of this hotel was the room. It w...

My husband and I recently booked a suite in Las Vegas and this hotel room put the sweet to shame. Very comfortable clean and inviting. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding. The staff was very friendly. I am going to try to book here when I stay again.

I booked a room with a refrigerator and microwave, but had neither once We entered the room, I had a few things that needed to be kept cold, but was informed, no other room was available. I checked again in the morning, as required, and was moved to the room first desired. In this move we found both amenities, but the TV seemed to be downgraded to basic. A bit confusi...

The place is small. The location is great. It's close to metro station, bus stop and even Flyaway bus stop (for airport). The facility is a bit too simple, but the price is really cheap so I'm OK as long as there are a bed and a bathroom. The air conditioner is pretty old and loud. It is pretty loud outside, but I'm the person who can fall asleep very easily, so this i...

The rooms are actually quite nice. The facilities are a little old but this hotel is centrally located and a lot nicer than other more expensive motels right down the street that are absolutely disgusting. The staff isn't very friendly but they are polite enough. Breakfast is surprisingly decent as these free breakfasts go. Some of the same branded hotels as this give...

The staff at this hotel is very friendly and helpful. They can give you valuable information about things around LA and also helpful with telling me about things around the hotel. For the price this is one of the best hotels I could find in LA. The breakfast is a good continental breakfast with a fair amount of options though it doesn't change from day to day. The qua...

I read a lot of reviews before booking my room and a few about the staff really made me not want to stay there but being on a budget due to relocation from San Diego, I said “ What the heck”.. Well, let me say the staff is fantastic! My room was very comfortable . No graffiti, Sofa bed, Queen sized bed , A/C was well maintained, 32’ flat screen w/ direct tv, microwave...

CONS: The first major problem I had was with AGODA itself. Although they seemed to have the best price comparatively, what they stated as the TOTAL PRICE was NOT the TOTAL PRICE. Their TOTAL PRICE, in big bold lettering DID NOT INCLUDE Californian hotel tax - which was considerable (20%). it was mentioned in small, faint print below the emboldened TOTAL PRICE. I'm...

Got a great bargain for this upscale hotel through Agoda. Quiet ambiance throughout, no disturbances or noises from guests on either sides, hallway or doors opening or closing which was great! Beds were firm and comfortable, and bedding clean. Bathroom was modern and spacious, toilet had a bidet, if so desired, walk-in shower and bathtub setup was the best--great sh...

My friends and I wanted a hotel downtown as we didn't know how to drive. Being first-timers to LA, we were told it was very inconvenient if we didn't drive. So we were prepared for the inconveniences that came with travelling by public transport. However, the location of the Hilton Checkers couldn't have been better suited to our purpose! Two red line Metro stations...

I stayed on for 2 nights wih my family , it was greatly recommended for my friends and family to stay in the hotel . It gave me very fancy and comfort review and the services is nice as well . I like the fitness center , everything is fully clean and absolutely new .i pretty enjoy the experiencing in the hotel .

We are a young family who have found every hotel until now a total rip off and the American culture the worst on the planet. When we got to Venice beach, opinions were low and expectations were non existent.... However, the prices were fair, location was great, noise level was low and everything was as good as we could have hoped for. Agoda, I stipulated free parking...

Good location, not crowded at all, historical. Although the lighting in the rooms are a too dim - could use better lighting. But overall, good location, easy access to metro, groceries, convenience stores, eateries. Hotel is very nice and good value for money.

Agoda never put my reservation thru and the front desk mentioned that they (Aogda) have been screwing things up lately. So I would definetly call days in advance to make sure they got the reservation. Even though that happened I would try Agoda again just because the price was ridiculously good for the room I got (Junior Suite). It was very close to the price of a st...

The hotel was centrally located, as you could join tours, catch buses to the beach or to the city. It was convenient for us to do a bit of sight seeing whilst alo unwinding by the pool at the end of a long trip. You get what you pay for: a standard room is comortable but has no views; the there is no free wifi access in the rooms (only in the lobby and by the pool) and...

Overall, it was a very pleasant stay at the Ambrose. The staff is fantastic. Everyone has a positive can-do attitude at all hours of the day. A very simple breakfast of coffee, tea, baked goods and fruit is included. Whole Foods, drug store, dry cleaners, banks, car rentals and a few restaurants are all walking distance away. As for areas of improvement: 1) the WiFi lo...

First - to really enjoy this place, you need to book a BEACH FRONT room (I prefer the 3rd floor as you can escape the sound of people's conversations from the boardwalk) and get a beautiful view of the ocean. The rooms are always clean and spacey. I love the slightly lower living room with fireplace. There is nothing cosier then the fireplace and balcony.

Best shower ever! Close to all activities and restaurants...short ride away (walking too, if you don’t mind). Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Chef Bryan went out of his way to introduce himself and was so welcoming. We had left to go to Santa Monica for a few days, but changed our plans and re-booked and returned home to the Montrose!

This is the second stay at Garland. We enjoyed our stay. They were very accommodating, we changed rooms without any problems. We had booked a accessibility room originally but the location of room was not what we had preferred and the bathroom counter space was very limited. We requested to be changed and they moved us without a question. They only downfall is the ...

very nice and clean hotel with well access to los angeles airport. no need to worry about where to find you food coz many food around. good for those who come for both transit for the next flight and short trip. the facility also superb. overall for this hotel is one of the best hotel around airport for you to consider.

My husband and I arrived early on Friday 3/08/19 in preparation for a family member's funeral. I called ahead to see if it was possible to get early check-in but was told that it didn't look good due to the hotel being full the night before but to our surprise when we got to the hotel a room was available. The young lady at check-in (I can't remember her name) was very...

My stay there was wonderful. The staff service are great, however the bell boy took a long time to bring the luggages to the rooms. The interior of the hotel and rooms are gorgeous. Design by Phillpe Stark. Cost of the room is slightly expensive but worth it as it is near many malls and good restaurants. The hotel is also near many attractions like Farmer's mark...

Booked Langham Hunting during a a short family vacation in LA. Chose the hotel due to its historical landmark and perceived five star luxury status. The rate I was able to get from Agoda was pretty good for a 5 star iconic hotel. The reality was that this stay is probably one of my worst hotel experience. To my dismay, upon check in (that is after a long 5 hour...

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mr C Beverly Hills Hotel. We have no complains about this hotel as everything was beyond our expectation. We got the room with city view and the view was just magnificent from the balcony. The room was amazingly huge for just the two of us and the furnitures in the room were so pretty and new. Ralph's and CVS were loc...

although the motel is not big, it includes a small refrigerator, TV, AC, and if you asked about the hair dryer, they also had it. clean room everyday, very nice staff. location close to downtown, little tokoyo and China town. free wifi and parking

It was a memorable experience. No matter how busy the city of Los Angeles was stepping back into the hotel meant peace, calm and relaxation. And refreshing to face another LA day. Conceierge is great to get you shows in the area. Stand up comedy, plays etc.

This place is amazing! Beautiful grounds. Clean hotel. Kids pool great for families. There are lots of little nooks with seating to hangout in peace and quiet. Only complaints are very expensive Self-parking and Valet parking with bad "free" alternatives. They also lie about not being able to overnight park in the public parking just so they can sell you on their...

Wonderful! We checked in early & had a quiet room as requested. Actually, they upgraded the room with a private terrace on the 3rd floor. The pool & jacuzzi is open 24/7 on the top floor of the hotel, it's really very beautiful with views of Beverly Hills.

As the hotel is really new, it was not really crowded so was great for the restful stay. Every corner was chic, delivers a quintessential WeHo luxury style, really loved it. The amenities were also interesting, loved the oolong tea shampoo-geranium conditioner-mandarin & citurus body cleanser with all different mix of beautiful scents offers a sort of aromatic ritu...

Traveler impressions of Los Angeles (CA)
Work & live in LA for 40 years, now live in Bangkok. So I am quite biased. Not the most friendly of cities, but world class in every sense.
This place is a traffic nightmare, there is no good time to go anywhere, I really do not know how you can do that traffic everyday.
A beautiful if woefully crowded city. A rental car is a must as the attractions are spread out for miles in differing directions.
it's good city for shopping and have great time with friend or family . and it's easy to find cozy LA style Restaurants for relaxing .
I enjoyed it. everything been close or walking distance from Hotel. LA live and the Staples Centre, and Regal (Cinemas).
Great city, great people and wonderful food. This place has it all. I would highly recommend this as a stop off for a tour of the USA.
With an advanced transportation infrastructure, LA has become and exciting city where all cultures intersect.
You really need to stay at least 10 days to take in all the sights. Take a trip down to Long Beach and to Malibu.
LA is interesting city to explore. we went downtown, Chinatown, Little Tokyo, Korea town and of course Hollywood.
Very expensive city to travel, make sure have enough cash for tippings. Transportation is the main problem here, not every place can be accesible by metro.
It is big but it is a collection of people who are happy about where they live and are willing to share their city with visitors.
Cedars Sinai has saved our lives. It is the best attraction in the city. The traffic is unbearable , A total nightmare.
Unless you are a Hollywood Fan, otherwise, not exactly the best city to hang around as prices are typically on the upscale.
The Hop-On Hop-Off Bus tours were great. They took you to most of the main attractions around L.A. and we used them as our main transport around the City.
I recommend everyone must go and see Universal Studio. To safe your money. No need to take tourist bus.
Hollywood is hectic so 4 days was enough. Go to Santa Monica and Venice beach. Beautiful and culturally diverse.
I lived in Los Angeles from 1981 to 2008, so there isn't much about the city that is intimidating to me.
Malibu Beaches are a MUST SEE. Santa Monica Pier and shopping promenade is also amazing. Universal is great for everyone but you need one day at minimum.
Lots of things to do, if you're a first time at least spend 3-5 days to enjoy the city. highly recommended to rent a car
LA is the big city and very very busy city, There are many things you can do in this city for business, traveling, studying and you can go around the Hollywood.
California is blessed with great weather, beaches, mountains and loads of theme parks! Only thing about LA is that it is quite expensive, otherwise it is a great place!
There are a lot to see in LA because it's more than just downtown. The various beaches from Redondo, Long Beach, Venice, and Santa Monica are beautiful to visit beyond hop on hop off.
Although LA offers a lot of interesting sites to visit, it is quite expensive to go about from one place to another unless you are willing to take the bus or metro.
When one think of Los Angeles, Hollywood immediately comes to mind. However, the city seems rather run down in general compared to the glitzy outlook that one sees on TV.
Sunshine, sunny, fun people. Hollywood and universal are the must visit places in LA. Do visit the beaches and get some tan while enjoy the cold breeze.
Specifically Hollywood is fun, but can be a little superficial after 5 days. Plenty to do with the tours to famous homes, Madame Tussauds, Chinese & Dolby Theatres, Universal studios, not to mention shopping and a trip to Santa Monica Beach.
We were in California for 12 days. Drove up the PCH - most beautiful drive ever, San Francisco - liked the golden gate bridge and Alcatraz, rode a trolley car, Yosemite was terrific and Sequoia National Park is must see.
There are so many things to do in Los Angeles. Plan your places of visit, you may want to cluster the places of interest together to make full use of your trip there, because you may need to drive a long distance to get to another place.
Nothing much in LA comparing to ASIA and Europe, the only Unique things is Studio Tour in Universal Studio.
So much to see. You could spend two months here. Downtown is best for cheap mementos and shopping. Musts are: Downtown Art Deco buildings, Venice Beach, Santa Monica Beach, Griffith Observatory at sunset- you will see the twinkling lights of LA.
